Please read on for details! 🌼

Re-stocked Goods

From seed to salve, this limited edition freshly grown traditional calendula salve represents the entire process of growing calendula organically with love and transforming vibrant flowers into a healing salve 🧑

A classic in the practice of herbalism making it a staple in herbal first aid kits worldwide, this item features the goodness of dried organic calendula flowers infused into olive oil.

  • Calendula is often used to treat wounds, rashes, infections, and inflammation among other conditions because it contains compounds that can help to decrease swelling and promote new skin tissue growth most likely by increasing blood flow and oxygen to the affected area. It also helps new skin build strength through hydration and oxygenation, as mentioned above. In herbalism its recognized actions include reducing inflammation, controlling bleeding and soothing irritated tissue.
  • Olive oil contains a number of anti-inflammatory compounds including triterpenes and an antioxidant known as oleocanthal that have been observed to help with surface wound healing such as sunburn by assisting with collagen production to reduce the amount of time it takes for a wound to close. Another naturally occurring antioxidants, vitamin E, helps calm redness and irritation in circumstances such as those caused by psoriasis. Relatedly, it’s alpha-hydroxy acids stimulate the shedding of dead skin cells and encourage new cell growth.
  • Shea butter nourishes skin with a nutrient dense profile featuring vitamins A, E, and F. It also absorbs quickly and provides lasting moisture
  • Beeswax is anti-allergenic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, and germicidal, all of which are helpful when seeking to care for skin that has been damaged due to irritation, burn, etc. I considered making this with vegan candelilla but ultimately felt it important to ensure this formula could be effective for use on slightly broken skin in the manner it has for centuries

This formula has been made without essential oils to make it accessible to as many people as possible. It is unscented in the sense that no scent has been added for purposes of perfuming the product. Please note, however, that it smells like the ingredients used to make it – shea butter, olive oil, etc – rather than being scent β€œneutral” / smelling like β€œnothing”.

Just the Goods’ limited edition vegan sacha inchi foot balm with lemon and tea tree oil is back features the following nutritive ingredients:

  • Organic sacha inchi, also known as Incan peanut, is a richly moisturizing oil that easily penetrates skin making it especially helpful for areas that are dry and/or thick. It is high in vitamins and antioxidants, as well as being nicely balanced in fatty acids Omega 3, 6, and 9.
  • Shea butter nourishes skin with vitamins A, E, and F. It also absorbs quickly and provides lasting moisture
  • Lemon essential oil is antiseptic, disinfectant and anti-fungal. It can also help to soften skin, which is useful when seeking to treat calluses, corns, and bunions
  • Tea tree oil offers antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and anti-fungal properties making it helpful when seeking to control athlete’s foot among other common concerns
  • Candelilla wax helps to create a texture slightly more like a balm than a butter it has a little more staying power

Graduating from Limited Edition to Regular Inventory

Thank you so much to everyone who has let me know these items have provided helpful support for their skin/body care needs! I'm delighted to announce they're now available on a regular basis and can be ordered at any time, rather than on a limited edition schedule!

Aluminum Bottle Update

Thank you for your questions wondering when Just the Goods' 4 oz aluminum bottles will return to inventory. Unfortunately, I'm not sure.

US tariffs on aluminum have caused many Canadian suppliers to simply drop this product from their catalogues. The supplier in British Columbia I work with is actively seeking product from manufacturers that can ship to her without routing through the United States, but she's struggling as they're either non-responsive, or require minimum purchases far greater than she can hold in her warehouse given the sheer volume of products she inventories.

When I first started procuring this packaging I did so from a company in the US supplying product manufactured in France. I switched to a company in Canada to reduce both shipping/brokerage costs, and costs associated with currency conversion. If I were to buy from them now, the minimum purchase needed to justify the cost of international shipping and brokerage would be approximately $7000, which would make each empty bottle $3.00 (before cap and label costs). I'm apprehensive about increasing product prices to cover this while so many people are struggling with quickly escalating inflation. And, in all honestly, this is not a realistic amount for me to allocate to one single packaging format.

I've gone ahead and ordered a case of another type of 4 oz aluminum bottle --- I originally rejected this style because it's very tall and narrow, and very easily tips over. It's best filled using automated conveyance systems with guardrails --- massive factory equipment I don't use because I'm a single person handcrafting products in a manner that involves filling each bottle individually by hand. But, if the preferred shorter, wider bottle is no longer available at all then I may be forced to switch permanently, and I hope that won't cause too much inconvenience... I can only imagine how much wasted face wash, toner, etc may result.

I definitely understand people being eager to know when the aluminum bottles I've been offering for the past few years will be available again. I have a limited quantity on hand that I've been saving for subscriptions so I don't have to contact everyone all at the same time. But, as soon as I have the new [taller 4 oz] bottles on hand, I'll update the website accordingly and follow up with a "quick news" message.

Thank you in advance for your patience while I continue to navigate the impact of US tariffs on material and equipment supply chains!

Enjoy up to 35% off All Products by Attitude

The sale continues! If you're in Canada, please enjoy up to 35% off all Attitude products at justthegoods.net!

Why?

Several months ago I tried to obtain a Certificate of Origin from Attitude to confirm their products are made in Canada and thus compliant with CUSMA so my broker can continue to clear them into the US, but no one replied to any of my emails, calls, or DMs... weird since this is very easily obtainable documentation πŸ˜…

Whatever the reason for their radio silence, I still have waaaay more inventory than I could possibly need for clients in Canada alone so -- to make room on my shelves -- I'm putting all of their products on sale for orders shipped within Canada! All prices are marked down automatically -- no coupon code is required 😊

Redditors Welcome!

I'm forever grateful for the very kind words I've received about Just the Goods in notes added to orders, and via email -- thank you!

On many occasions over the years I've been asked if/where people can share reviews about Just the Goods online and -- since I'm a rather introverted person and not often moved to self-promote -- I've usually suggested a comment or review on Instagram or Facebook. However, as I've lately came across articles discussing the decline of social media, and how AI chat-bots are replacing search engines, I started to think about Reddit as a place still focused on human interaction where people love to ask/answer on a massive range of topics.

If any of you identify as Redditors and feel so inclined, I'd be grateful if you wanted to share your thoughts about Just the Goods! Some of these spaces might be appropriate... but if you're on Reddit often, you probably already have your own preferred subreddits 😊 Thank you!!!

Giveaway 🌹!

If you like surprises and aren't too particular about the shade of your lip colour, this is the giveaway for you! 😊

When I made rose shimmer lip balm, it had been so long since I'd experimented with mica and oxides that I forgot how quickly they sink to the bottom. As a consequence, the last few lip balm turned out much darker, a little more like a medium density lipstick than a lip balm. I pulled them aside. They're all a little different, so if you're flexible, you can claim one for yourself for the cost of shipping only by visiting the link below and entering the coupon code β€œrosylips” at checkout 🩷

https://justthegoods.net/products/giveaway-just-the-goods-limited-edition-shimmering-rose-vegan-lip-balm-with-mystery-tint

In order to share this gift as widely as possible, please limit one per person. This coupon code will expire when all six tubes have been distributed. Thank you!

Relatedly, should I make another batch of rose shimmer lip balm? Let me know!
